ironically because I am reading a (reaaalllyyyy freaking good) historical fiction novel about medieval Europe...
randomly it made me want to read some really freaking good Japanese historical fiction novels...
alas... I do not know any... or not -many- I should say...

soooo... does anyone out there know of any good novels about Japan?
...
or just any good novels by Japanese authors (available in English translations, plz... I don't know that much Japanese yet... -yet-... I'm working on it... >_> ... kinda)


Gaaahh!!! Can't wait 'till all my core classes are out of the way and I can take some more Japanese language and history/culture classes in school!!!!

I wouldn't mind recommendations for -any- sort of good literature...
I mean, this book I'm reading now will last me... quite a while (it's over 9000!!!! ... wait, I mean... over 900!!!!! pages... ... sorry, couldn't resist the overused DBZ reference of doom, death and despair...)... but 1) I am not adverse to reading several books at once (I'm ADD like that... need several going at the same time) and 2) I like to have a good selection lined up so I don't have to go from reading really good literature to being new-book-less... or something...

... in other news... I wonder if I'm slightly allergic to dogs... or at least something about my friend's neighbor's dog...
I was pet-sitting yesterday/today and spent the night at my friend's house... and... woke up today with the worst congestion and allergy symptoms I've had in a loooong time...
and yeah I have a sinus infection right now, but... I've been on antibiotics for a few days... it -should- be getting -beter- at this point, not worse...

... so I just wonder... 'cuz I know it couldn't be the cats... I'm around cats so freaking much... I'd have had some kind of reaction before now, I think...

or maybe I just have something viral...? ... which would suck... -_-
or the antibiotics they gave me just don't work well enough for me? or I built up a resistance to it over the years?

I dunno... *shrugs* ... but yeah... I just kinda feel crappy right now... ;_; because I can't breathe...
